Photo guidelines

Shoot from a slight angle for a more natural pose

Shoot from a slight angle for a more natural pose
Slight angle
Straight-on
Why it matters: A slight angle adds depth and captures the natural shape of the pose far more flatteringly than a flat, straight-on shot.

One person, or two people close together and interacting naturally

Close together
Spaced apart
Why it matters: Keeping subjects close and interacting naturally helps us treat them as one unified composition

Keep the subject fully visible

Keep the subject fully visible
Clear subject
Obstructed
Why it matters: Nets, fences, or overlapping objects reduce fine detail and make the final print look cluttered. A clean background lets the subject shine.

Animals are welcome, but small pets can be tricky at print size

Animals are welcome, but small pets can be tricky at print size
Large animals
Very small pets
Dogs & cats
Why it matters: Fine details like whiskers and fur texture can disappear at smaller print scales. The bigger the animal fills the frame, the better the result.

Make sure your subject is alone in the frame

Solo subject
Crowded frame
Why it matters: Extra people or distractions in the background compete for attention. Crop them out beforehand or take a fresh solo shot for the cleanest result.

Bicycles & motorbikes
Cars & golf carts
Why it matters: Large vehicles take up most of the frame in ways that don't translate well to our format. Bikes and motorbikes work beautifully though.
